I love baking in the fall! The smells of apples, pumpkin and cinnamon are so warm and welcoming! Before I switched to being grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar-free, my favorite pumpkin pie was one that had a streusel topping. One of my favorite things to do is taking recipes that I used to eat and recreating them so I can still enjoy them! Pumpkin Streusel Pie is one of those recipes. Enjoy!

Thank you for this delicious recipe!! I used mostly pecans and walnuts since after I had bought the almonds I realized they were impossible to chop without a food processor. I also used chia seeds instead of flax, and the whole thing turned out wonderful! I also made some homemade coconut milk ice cream (no churn/maker required) with vanilla and chia seeds, and the pie served warm with drizzle of honey and cinnamon, and scoop of ice cream…was just perfect.

The pumpkin pie looks great! I cannot have tapioca flour in my diet. Any suggestions for substitutions in this recipe?

Hi Lisa! What part of the recipe uses tapioca flour? I didn’t think any of those ingredients had tapioca in it…

Glad to have found your site through The Nourishing Gourment post! I’ve been thinking of going more the “Primal or Paleo” route lately. After reading what your heath issues were/are it’s seems like a good idea for me. I haven’t had all the testing, but have similar issues!
Keep posting great recipes and all the success in the “refining” of your life and health!
